We are thrilled to share highlights from the recent University of Hawai‘i Saxophone Choir concert, which featured an exciting program with several premieres for the ensemble.

The University of Hawai‘i Saxophone Choir presents an exciting program with several new premiers for this ensemble including: Elsa’s Procession to the Cathedral (arr. Kaneshiro), Allegro from Beethoven’s Wind Octet (arr. El-Farrah), and Va! Laisse Couler me Larmes  (arr. Yukumoto).

The Hawaii Saxophone Foundation will hold auditions for its inaugural Hawaii High School Saxophone Ensemble for 2018.

On November 18, 2016, The Hawaii Saxophone Foundation co-sponsored a masterclass with Lou Marini at the University of Hawaii Music Department.

The HSF is proud to donate a tenor saxophone and Protech gig bag to Waialua High School.

This year’s concert will show cases several guest artists including Director of the UH Marching Band David Blon, Sax Forte Quartet, the Kawananakoa Middle School Saxophone Quartet, and percussionist of the UH Wind Ensemble.

Hailed by the New York Times as “one of the greatest musicians in jazz history,” Grammy Award winning saxophone giant Joe Lovano will be conducting a masterclass that's free to the public!
