Living 808: Hawaii Saxophone Foundation Launches the Super Saxophone Series with Smooth Jazz Icon Nelson Rangell

Honolulu (KHON2) – The Hawaii Saxophone Foundation announces the Super Saxophone Series, which is aimed at celebrating jazz and fostering musical education. 

This smooth jazz concert series invites attendees to enjoy a musical night with some of the biggest names in the saxophone world to Hawaii, as well as network with some well-respected musicians. Nelson Rangell, American smooth jazz musician and composer will be in attendance as one of this year’s performers. 

“Our goal is to give both students and professionals a chance to meet and learn directly from these musicians,” says Todd Yukumoto, President of Hawaii Saxophone Foundation. 

Event Details

  • Concert: Saturday, November 16 at 6 p.m. at Hawaiian Brian’s Social Club – Crossroads

  • Masterclass: Sunday, November 17 at 4 p.m. at the UH Music Department Bandroom (free and open to all musicians)
